Experience Boracay like the FIRST TIME
Boracay is an island in the Philippines located in its Western Visayas region. It was voted as one of the best beaches in the world by the BMW Tropical Beach Handbook and in 1996, it is proclaimed as the world’s number one tropical beach by TV Quick. Surely, it is one of our country’s major prides.
I know this and yet I’ve never been to Boracay.
I’m not in that part of my life where I get to spend much on travelling, so at this stage, thinking of my first encounter with the famous Boracay is the best I can do (plus save for next summer!).
In my first time in Boracay, I will:
Feel the world-renowned Boracay sand, and maybe bottle a handful of it as a souvenir.
Have a relaxing time under the shade of a tree. With a mesmerizing beauty like this, I could not help staring.
Be taken aback by the nature’s beauty: the white sand, the little waves punching eagerly on shore, wind hustling crazily on coconut trees…
And gasp at the first sight of the hotel where I’ll be staying, the Mediterranean-inspired lounge is oh-so inviting for a quiet and relaxing vacation.
Have a glimpse of Boracay from my room-tall window in my requested double room.

And linger in its upview, with the man-made swimming pool below as tempting as the beach itself.
Vow to score all the outdoorsy activities like the Banana Boat, Jetski, Zipline, Zorb and others that I’m too excited and a little nervous to try. Nevertheless, I will not let the opportunity pass me by.
Fall in love with the transient swirling of the sky colors nearing dawn. See how it emphasizes the homely atmosphere of the resort hotel.
Dine with my best friends in this too-comfortable setting beside the pool.
And enjoy a cold sip of my favorite martini.
After dinner, the cold breeze of the night intensifies our longing for a comfort like home.
And home won’t be that far with the queen-sized beds US Chiropractic Association approved in our double room, equipped with a cable television and AC for a good morning after.
Engage in an amicable conversation with my friends over our complimentary almusal. If I could wake up like this EVERY day…
I know I would be happy, but I know I can’t. I just hope I get to see Boracay the way I intend to even for as short as 3 days and 2 nights. Ain’t those days just the kind of days we will always long for?
And I know all these will be possible if I stay at Microtel Inns & Suites for they’ve been the BEST hotel in Boracay to beat not once, not twice but EIGHT years in a row. You see, eight years, that’s not negotiable. It’s the most grandiose it can ever get.
Indeed, in Microtel Inns & Suites Hotel, you can experience Boracay as if the first time.
